Dental PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) & PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

Heal Faster After Oral Surgery, Extractions, and Implants

What You Need to Know About PRP and PRF

At Cedar Village Dentistry we believe in providing our patients with access to the best dental technology available. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) have been clinically proven to help patients heal faster with fewer complications after dental surgery and other procedures.

Did You Know: PRP & PRF are trusted by NFL players and other pro athletes to aid their recovery after injuries. PRP and PRF can help you:

  • Heal faster and get back to work quickly after a dental procedure
  • Reduce your need for strong pain-medication and anti-inflammatories following dental surgery
  • Greatly lower the risk of infection after oral surgery

Best of all, PRP and PRF are 100% natural.

Have you been told you’ll need oral surgery or a dental implant? Call (513) 770-4370 today to learn more about how PRP and PRF can help you.

How Do PRP & PRF Treatments Work?

PRF and PRP treatments help your body heal itself naturally. By utilizing a small amount of your blood and separating out the platelets, we are able to create a natural treatment to help you heal safely after oral surgery.

After your treatment is complete, Dr. Dooley will apply the PRP/PRF directly to where it’s needed. It’s completely non-invasive, 100% natural, and will help you heal fast.

Did You Know: Platelets are what helps your blood clot and allow your body to heal after a cut or scrape. By concentrating them in a PRP or PRF treatment we are able to magnify this healing effect.

Frequently Asked Questions About PRP and PRF

Can you use PRP or PRF as part of any procedure?

At Cedar Village Dentistry we make PRP and PRF treatments part of all dental surgeries.

Does PRP/PRF hurt?

No. Just the opposite, in fact. We use PRP and PRF to help our patients heal faster and to limit your discomfort following oral surgery.

Is PRP/PRF covered by dental insurance?

Your dental insurance may cover your PRF treatment. Our office can review your benefits and help you understand what may be covered by your plan.

I’m afraid of needles and having my blood drawn. Can I still get PRF/PRP?

Yes. We are very gentle and will help you relax and feel at ease throughout the procedure. And if you’ll be under IV sedation during your surgery, we can draw the blood while you’re asleep.

How long does it take to prepare a PRP/PRF treatment?

After your blood is drawn, it’s placed into a powerful centrifuge for about 10 minutes to get it ready for use in a PRP or PRF treatment.
