Got insurance? Great! We accept most insurance plans and will help you calculate the estimated out-of-pocket cost. After your treatment, we’ll process your claim and help maximize your benefits.

Questions About Paying for Dental Care in Mason?

How much does a dental cleaning cost?

Most dental insurance covers 100% of your twice-a-year dental cleanings. No insurance? With our in-house membership plan, you’ll get 2 cleanings, 2 exams, x-rays, and up to 20% off other treatments. We highly recommend this great savings opportunity for non-insured patients.

How does dental insurance work?

Here’s how most dental insurance plans work:

  • You or your employer pays a monthly premium for your insurance
  • You start each year with a set “cap” — the maximum amount your insurer will contribute toward the cost of your care. 
  • When you need treatment, the amount your insurance will pay is covered in your plan’s benefits. You’ll pay a percentage of the cost yourself. Your insurance plan will pay the rest — until you hit your yearly limit. Then you pay the rest.

Is dental insurance worth it?

During a cleaning at our Mason office, you’ll work with one of our dental hygienists who will make sure you’re comfortable before gently removing plaque and tartar from around your gum line and between your teeth. Next, we’ll polish your teeth with a high-tech electric brush and end by flossing. We may also recommend a prescription fluoride treatment or mouthwash if you are cavity prone or have chronic tooth sensitivity.

Is a dental cleaning painful?

If you don’t receive dental benefits through your work, in most cases we recommend our in-house membership plan vs. purchasing a dental insurance plan on your own. You’ll receive the preventive care you need to maintain your health and great savings on any necessary treatments throughout the year. 

Do I need dental insurance? 

Dental insurance can often reduce the cost of your dental care, particularly on preventive care. However, you won’t always save money. If you don’t have dental insurance, talk to us about what type of savings or payment option works best for you based on the care you need and your financial situation
